HAHA :D oh and juliette decided to name one of the characters in the name thing mango, so mrs chia asked why we named it that, did we all like clothes from mango? haha. and juliette was like, ASK MELISSA. like wth?

went to bugis with sarah and chelsea today:D hurhur. watched rv, funny but kinda anti-climax. yuck. haha. and i've realised how easily chelsea laughs at movies. like when no one else is laughing she laughs. LOL. and when people laugh she laughs the loudest. HAHA. so retarded(: did our usual stupid stuff, walking around and laughing. OH, and every single shop we went into, that scanner thingee beeped whenever chelsea walked through, but all the shopkeepers didn't car, until we went to the wallet shop. HURHUR. and the guy working there thought it was me cos i was carrying a wallet from there, but chelsea was like, no, i think it's me, and she just swung her bag in front of the scanner and it started beeping. HAHA. she nearly whacked someone with it lah. HEHE. and it was the teddy geiger cd she bought at sembawang so the guy at the wallet shop offered to take out whatever tag thingee that was inside, so when he opened the cd the cover was already broken and he broke the cd tray when he tried removing the tag under it. so chelsea brought it back to the shop since the cover was broken when she bought it and when they opened it she was like, oh, i think that must've gotten broken too. HAHAHA. then the NEW box broke when they were changing it and i just started laughing like crazy and i walked around the shop like some loon laughing to herself. and chelsea couldn't really leave so she just put her head down and laughed and laughed:D HURHUR

POPCORN DISASTER (100TH POST!)

okay brilliant, this's my hundredth post and it's about a popcorn disaster. well ANYWAY here goes. IN THE SEVEN OR SO FRIGGING YEARS I'VE BEEN POPPING POPCORN IN THE OVEN, THIS'S THE FIRST DISASTER I'VE HAD. well, besides the one where i was starting out, and that one doesn't count. i learnt how to stop it on time so that there was minimal unpopped bits and stuff and i think i'm going crazy, getting so weird about burnt popcorn. GAH.

CABBIES (AGAIN)

got a cab back from mrs quek's place as per normal, but this cabbie was super weird lah. i told him to keep right and u-turn but he ignored me and then when i said it again he was like AIYOH YOU MUST TELL EARLIER YOU KNOW. DAMN JIALAT ALREADY! WAHLAU I TELL YOU IF I CAN U-TURN YOU DAMN LUCKY ALREADY!urh. and as soon as we were driving down the road where i live he started driving SLOWLY so he could look at all the houses. bleah. and saying something like WAH THAT HOUSE VERY BIG! HAHA), and decided to curl my hair-.- she got obsessed with curling. haha, she actually did my whole head. AND her own. i've no idea how she has the patience, lol. we went to united square after that to buy paint and THEN to cold storage to buy my grandma's 8days and do her grocery shopping. HAHA. they were out of lettuce! haha. and it was with the cabbage so i got super confused. and chelsea just laughed and laughed at me. and i was going to ask the sales lady but i was laughing too hard. haha. hmm but i bought icebonbons AND popcorn:D haha then we walked around aimlessly for awhile before deciding to leave(: OH but when we were walking in we saw this acs guy (i THINK it was) with super HIGH and super TIGHT pants. like OMG. i nearly died laughing lah. haha.

went back and chelsea curled my hair AGAIN. haha. i've decided that it looks better if i tie my hair up, but not down. i look frumpy like that, haha. but it looks okay from the back(:

training today was super slack AND we missed the first forty five minutes doing IMAGERY. whatever that is. and coach/uncle/mr leonard/yeo said some crap about us being blessed to have him as our coach. like WHATEVER lah. urgh. i dragged yvonne to the prata cafe with me to get a milo spin after that. HAHA. it's good okay, compared to those milo freezes you pay like three bucks for, and the cup is only less than the size of your hand. the one at the cafe is TALL:D then cabbed to united square to get mama's lettuce and do MORE grocery shopping (urgh, i'm so auntie) and get seraphina's present, cos i conveniently forgot about it yesterday. and i brilliantly left my wallet at toys'r'us and discovered that i didn't have it when i was all the way down in cold storage. so i went back up in a panic and apparently the nice lady tried looking for me and couldn't find me, but i got my wallet back anyway:D i bought MORE popcorn and i have no idea where my m&ms went. SIGH. and i also feel really guilty cos i took a cab that only cost $2.60 when i could've walked, but then again, i had a shitload of things to carry, so bleah. hrm. going for synchro now.

BLEAH. messiness runs in the family.

1ST NATIONAL SYNCHRO CHAMPIONSHIPS 2006

finally decided to get down to posting what happened from friday to sunday. i was gonna do it on sunday, but i was still so bloody tired. it amazes me how you can get like that from doing basically nothing. nothing strenuous in any case, but yeah. i've got muscle aches all over too, i think it was from the pretzel. or maybe i'm sick. anyway...

friday went for synchro early, at about five, cos the girls from speediswim were coming. was planning on leaving at around seven but i endded up staying there til like NINE, cos i was so worried and i just kept practising and practising. yeah, then went home and i freaking didn't sleep till like five thirty in the morning? cos everytime i closed my eyes the routine started playing in front of me, and i freaked out. i woke up at like six, so a miserable half hour? SIGH. got there at about seven and just bummed around cheering for them. AND worrying about not being able to memorise my routine element/skills. but in the end they recited to us while we did it. so yep. AND LOOK, AUDREY WAS IN THE NEWSPAPERS TODAY!

not adeline, not no one BUT audrey:D OH, and they mentioned elisabeth:D I LOVE YOU TWO<3 hehe. is that not the sweetest thing you've ever seen? i'll show you something SWEETER, AUDREY'S SOLO! (i refrain from using the word cute, as elisabeth constantly reminds me that cute is another term for adorable but ugly.

haha, ADORABLE AUDREY:D and OMG ELISABETH DID SO WELL! she got first for everything in her category, figures, solo AND her duet with audrey. audrey didn't do too bad for her age, she kept insisting that she got last, cos her name was the last on the paper. it took me like five minutes to explain to her that she had gotten FIFTH, and there were NINE people, so she was smack in the center(: anyway, elisabeth is like three years older than her, so it wasn't too bad. haha, she got the most cheers of all the contestants, cos she's the smallest AND the cutest:D but she really deserved it alot:D i mean, she's the youngest person competing in fina lah. hehe. her parents are super nice too(: haha, and elisabeth's brother is soso CUTE! he's the same age as audrey. he came up to me and was like, "jie jie melissa, are you competing in 16-18?" okay, FIRSTLY, he called me JIE JIE MELISSA! how cute is that please? haha. NO ONE has ever called me that. THIS LIL BOY HAS GOOD MANNERS:D haha. and he thought i was like 16! haha. or within 16-18 years old. haha. either way, i explained that i was only a year older than his sister. HAHA.

hmm. and JANOOI/DAJIE CAME TO WATCH! haha, just for awhile, but still, better than that SARAH CHIA who went to wildwildwet even thought she knew we'd be having the thingee. BLEAH. hehe.

and the star thingee went fairly well:D i think i passed nearly everything, except alligator reverse scull, cos my butt wouldn't float on the surface ): it's funny though, how they passed me for things i thought i'd fail but failed me for the things i didn't think of. for the paddle scull my butt miraculously floated:D and as for pretzel, all i can say is THANK GOD FOR CHERYL SEAH. haha, she had to help me with my stupid pretzel after they nearly failed me for my routine element. yep, but then the other panel somehow passed me without question for the plain pretzel:D

and the freaking thing was supposed to finish at like six thirty but it finished at NINE! bleah. so my mom and everyone else went for dinner for mama's birthday while my dad stayed at farrer to watch and support and video and stuff:D haha this's why i love my family:D yeah, but just as we were leaving they decided to do the star prize presentation and so we had to stay while they gave out all the certificates and prizes and stuff and GUESS WHAT:D

I WON FIRST! haha yep i was so amazed! and i think sera was too, when i called to tell her:D oddly though, i wasn't nervous before i did my routine and figures, but i got reallyREALLY nervous before they announced the results. hehe. yep, rushed to the dinner after that, but they'd all just finished. bleah. i was so super tired that i fell asleep after taking forever to wash the gelatin out of my hair, but that vomit-inducing smell still lingers. BLEAH. i slept at eleven thirty and woke up at like eleven the next morning:D amazing. i had no idea i could sleep for so long. HAHA. but yay:D okay, PICTURES:D

haha, i added in the split after all! since there was extra time and all. that's good i guess, but not if i can't do it properly. i mean, it's only a day to the competition, there's only so much i can do to perfect it. AND all the competitors from the other clubs are coming tonight, meaning that we probably won't be able to do the routine with music. i shall go sit in a left split for at least fifteen minutes, maybe it'll be better. i wanna be like cheryl! haha. she can do a 180º split IN THE WATER. like a perfect 180º it's scary. can you imagine what she can do on land? AHHH.

ohmy, i just had a long long conversation on msn with someone i barely know. HAHA. okay, nevermind(: and i found out that i told daphne and carrie's DAD that i'd seen hairy toes and chin at farrer park. i'm SMART(: ARGH.

hmm, then i was talking to chelsea when i suddenly remembered this really retarded thing that happened when i went out with chels and pris last week. we were in the lift at heeren when i looked up and realised there was a mirror on the ceiling! haha, and i laughed and laughed until these people came into the lift, where i started laughing again and they looked at me like they thought i was crazy(: BRILLIANT(:
